A headset maintains a consistent position close to the mouth. A lavalier attaches to clothing and gives the wearer a different fit. Evaluate clothing noise, movement and speech level with the intended amplifier.

Confirm the wireless system and connector before replacing a microphone. A similar-looking connector or matching frequency label alone does not establish compatibility.
